OPTIKA B-510 Series is ideal for measuring needs, quality control applications, inspection in several fields, including manufacturing processes, soldering and material science.
With a field of view of 22 mm, B-510 material science microscopes are equipped with metallurgical attachment and the state-of-the-art, exclusive X-LED8 lighting source as reflected illumination; when included, transmitted light is through X-LED3 lighting source. The oblique illumination opens new horizons by revealing with relief contrast and significant clarity even the finest details, which may be hard to be distinguished when using conventional brightfield techniques.
Objectives are IOS W-PLAN MET and NCG (no cover glass), being purposely designed for microscopy use with no a cover slip whilst Köhler diaphragm optimizes the microscope optical path to produce high sample contrast and homogeneous bright light, reducing image artifacts.
Reflected light microscopy is the method to observe specimens which remain opaque even when ground to a thickness of few microns. The range of specimens falling into this category contains metals, ores, ceramics, polymers, semiconductors (unprocessed silicon, wafers, and integrated circuits), coal, plastics, paint, paper, wood, leather, and a wide variety of specific materials.
